City of West Chicago Holds Swearing-In Ceremony for Newly Elected and Police

West Chicago, Illinois: May 23, 2007 - West Chicago's Mayor Elect, Michael B. Kwasman, was officially sworn-in at a ceremony presided over by DuPage County Judge Kenneth Popejoy at the City Council meeting of May 21, 2007. Joseph Gianforte was also sworn-in as Alderman for the 5th Ward, as were the following incumbent Aldermen who will begin serving another four-year term in their respective Wards:

  • James E. Beifuss - Ward 1
  • Greg Kauth - Ward 2
  • Ruben Pineda - Ward 3
  • Alan Murphy - Ward 4
  • Rebecca Stout - Ward 6
  • Matt Fuesting - Ward 7

Also sworn in were the City's new Chief of Police Donald J. Goncher, Deputy Chiefs Bruce Malkin and Laz Perez, Sergeants Richard Theodore and William Hall and new Officers Meagan Perry and Antonio Reyes.
