Coming soon, with a highly visible 540 Main St. address, The Texan Bar B Q will serve as the centerpiece of the municipality’s recently redeveloped downtown district, which has benefited from the addition of several new buildings constructed in the past few years - including a retail center, a mixed-use building housing loft-style condominiums, and two identical mid-rises comprising traditional-style condominiums.

Spanning 5,115 square feet, The Texan Bar B Q will accommodate up to 140 patrons indoors, offer al fresco dining during the warmer months to an additional 44 patrons and include a sit-down bar. The design/décor theme will showcase southwestern motifs. Ample parking via front and rear lots also will be provided, and a pickup/takeout entrance will be included on the building’s east side. The restaurant is anticipated to open in May 2008.

The new Gateway Centre currently houses 15 lofts and 39 additional condominium units are soon to come. These condominiums are located just steps from the West Chicago Metra station. This current downtown development initiative is providing infrastructure improvements, new brick sidewalks, and charming streetlamps.
