Financial Symposium Yields Information for Public Investor

City of West Chicago Treasurer Don Earley Receives Certificate of Completion

West Chicago, Illinois: July 11, 2007 - City of West Chicago treasurer Don Earley recently completed the Public Investors' Financial Symposium, held in Springfield, Illinois.

The Symposium, presented by the Office of the State Treasurer, Alexi Giannoulias, was planned as an educational experience for public investors around the state. Among the topics covered were proven investment practices, budget mythbusters, and check fraud and prevention. Updates on Illinois funds, E-Pay and accounting and audit functions were also provided.

Mr. Earley was presented with a Certificate of Completion following the two-day conference.
