Investigations Division

The Investigations Division is the non-uniformed investigative branch of the Department and encompasses the Detective Unit, Street Operations Unit and the School Resource Officers.

• The Detective Unit is responsible for follow up investigations of a large variety of criminal activities including robberies, burglaries, thefts, sexual assaults, white collar and high tech crimes, missing persons and equivocal death investigations.

• The Street Operations Unit is responsible for narcotic and gang-related investigations and intelligence gathering as well as the suppression of known and suspected criminal enterprises.

• There are three (3) School Resource Officers, two (2) assigned to School District 94 and one (1) assigned to School District 33. The primary goal of the School Resource Officers is to provide a safe learning environment for the school children in our community by working closely with the administrators, teachers and school staff.
