Support Services Division

The Support Services Division consists of one officer and ten civilians. The division consists of Accreditation, budgeting, Purchasing, and Records. The mission of the Support Services Division is to provide information and equipment to the Patrol and Investigations Section as well as perform customer service duties for citizens, other city departments and outside police agencies.

The Support Services Division prides itself in being customer service oriented and delivering the best services possible to the citizens of West Chicago.

Social Services is located at 461 Main Street. The Social Services Unit falls under the umbrella of the Police Department, and its mission is to facilitate the effective delivery of bi-lingual services and resources to the reseidents of West Chicago. Some of the direct services they provide include:

  • Comprehensive information & referral service
  • Individual and family counseling
  • Senior citizen intervention
  • Assistance to crime victims
  • Assistance to the homeless
  • Community education
  • Court advocacy & support for Order of Protection
