| Utility Superintendent |
The Superintendent will be responsible for directing, managing, supervising and coordinating the activities and operations of the Utility Division, (water distribution and sanitary collection systems including well, sanitary and storm water pump stations), the City’s Lime Softening and Iron Removal Water Treatment Plant (9.0 mgd maximum design capacity). The superintendent works under the direction of the Director of Public Works. Position requires Five years of increasingly responsible experience in the operation and maintenance of water distribution, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer systems including two years of supervisory responsibility. A Bachelor’s degree with major course work in chemistry, construction technology, civil engineering or a related field is preferred. The position requires the possession of a valid Illinois Environmental Protection Agency Class A Water Supply Operator’s Certification License. Salary DOQ.
