Community Invited to Trick or Treat Downtown
Saturday, October 27, 2007
1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

West Chicago, Illinois: October 18, 2007 - Downtown West Chicago businesses designated by a pumpkin in their window, will once again host the annual trick or treat for the community's little ghosts and goblins. The activity, which is scheduled on Saturday, October 27th from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., is part of the Horribly Fun Halloween Happenings, sponsored by the West Chicago Park District.

Happenings begins on Friday, October 26th at Reed Keppler Park with Spooky Trail. The Dyer Nature Trail opens for pre-schoolers from 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. and to the general public from 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. The charge of $7.00 applies to everyone over 3' tall. Spooky Trail is repeated at the same times on Saturday, October 27th.

The fun starts early on Saturday, October 27th with a Halloween Parade line-up on Turner Court at 11:30 a.m. Costume judging takes place at 12:00 p.m. and the parade steps off at 12:30 p.m. Awards will be presented at Turner Court at 1:00 p.m. followed by downtown trick or treating.

Residents and visitors to downtown may also take advantage of a puppet show, sponsored by the West Chicago Public Library and the Puppet Theatre Club from 1:15 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at 118 W. Washington Street.
