Open Audition and Call for Theater Volunteers


West Chicago, Illinois: September 29, 2010 – A new theater company, which will be in addition to the existing performing arts program at the West Chicago Park District, is being formed in West Chicago. Anyone interested in learning more about the venture is invited to attend one of two informational meetings and open auditions being held at Gallery 200/STUDIO, 203 Turner Court (map) on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. and Monday, October 4, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.

Volunteer personnel is needed in all related categories including script writers, actors, directors, public relations specialists, lighting, sound and box office. There are plans for an initial season of two plays and one musical.

There will be cold readings from a script. Vocalists should prepare sixteen bars of music and be prepared to sing a cappella. Roles will be available for actors age18 to 80. Questions should be directed to jnmargil@gmail.com.
