Two Offenders Apprehended and Charged with
Attempted Aggravated Battery with a Firearm in West Chicago

West Chicago, Illinois: August 31, 2009 - Members of the West Chicago Police Department were dispatched to the 100 block of Main Street for a call of shots fired in the area on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at approximately 1:10 a.m. Witnesses on the scene confirmed that several shots had been fired in the vicinity. No one was injured by the gunfire.

Further investigation established probable cause which led to charges of Attempted Aggravated Battery with a Firearm against two individuals. The two arrestees have been identified as 17 year old Dante Farfan of the 2100 block of Pepper Valley Road in Geneva and 18 year old Irvin Naranjo of the 700 block of Main Street in West Chicago.

Attempted Aggravated Battery with a Firearm is a Class 1 Felony, which is punishable by a period of incarceration of not less than 4 years and not more than 15 years in prison.
