West Chicago Police Respond to Complaint of Man Exposing Himself

West Chicago, Illinois: August 5, 2010 - On Friday July 16, 2010 the West Chicago Police Department received a complaint of a man exposing himself while driving on westbound Route 64 and Prince Crossing Road. The incident occurred at approx. 12:55 p.m.. The complainant's vantage point from the driver's seat of a semi-truck allowed him to see into the passenger compartment of the offender's sedan. The complainant provided a license plate number on the offender's car. The plate information led investigators to question the registered owner of the car, 58 year old David W. Richards of the 1100 block of Millburn Court in Saint Charles, Illinois.

The ensuing investigation yielded probable cause for the arrest of Mr. Richards for the offense of Disorderly Conduct. Mr. Richards faces a maximum penalty of $1,000.00 for the local ordinance Disorderly Conduct charge.

The case was forwarded to the DuPage County State's Attorneys office for review and possible additional charges.
