During a Special Presentation

Wednesday, July 21, 2010 - 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.

West Chicago, Illinois: July 15, 2010 - Those who love nature up close and personal won't want to miss Animals of the Prairie, sponsored by the West Chicago City Museum. The presentation takes place at the Museum, located at 132 Main Street in downtown West Chicago, on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.

Naturalist Jack MacRae of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County will report about all the wildlife one might encounter at the West Chicago Prairie. MacRae will tell those in attendance what animals to look for and how to find them, as well as provide interesting stories about animal life. Plus, MacRae plans to bring along at least one living example, a Great Plains rat snake and possibly an Eastern milk snake.

For more information about this free family activity, call the Museum at (630) 231-3376, or e-mail museum@westchicago.org.
