West Chicago, Illinois: July 9, 2010 – Earlier this year, the Friends of the West Chicago City Museum announced a monthly chance to win an item from the City Museum's gift shop. Visitors to the City Museum can enter every month. There is no fee to enter, participants must just stop in the City Museum and fill out an entry card to take part in the random drawing.
The July prize winner will receive a 2008 commemorative ornament of the historic Bradley House built in 1891, in addition to the 2009 Tastee Freez ornament which honors the 60-year old downtown ice-cream destination.
Those wishing to participate in the chance to win one of these classic ornaments need only stop by the City Museum during open gallery hours Tuesday-Friday 10:30a.m.-3:30p.m. and Saturdays 12:00p.m.-3:00p.m. While there, check out the current exhibit, A Prairie Primer, which combines art, history, and stewardship in its exploration of the prairie. Also on exhibit is Building Community, which focuses on West Chicago's unique history.
