Her band director states that Kim “has led by example in all of my experiences with her. Kim’s attitude, dedication, talent and enthusiasm have been a huge asset to our programs.”

Kim is an active athlete as well. She has been a four-year member of the Golf team acting as captain her senior year. She has received the All-Conference Honorable Mention award in Golf. Kim has also played Badminton for four years. Her coach describes Kim as “the epitome of a hard working player. Kim shows great character in victory or defeat. She cares for her teammates and treats them with the utmost respect. She motivates others to be the best they can be and works with her teammates to improve their game. She provides great leadership skills to the players on the team and throughout the whole program.”

Kim is an Illinois State Scholar and hopes to attend Monmouth College in the fall. She plans to major in Music Education and to participate in the Marching Band and Concert Band there.
