Senior Registration for Reduced Fare

 

West Chicago, Illinois: March 27, 2008 – The West Chicago Park District’s motto, “Creating Community,” is on track as the district is now a registration site for the RTA’s reduced fare card for persons 65 and over. The card entitles the individual to free transit on fixed routes operated by the Chicago Transit Authority, Metra and Pace.

To register, eligible individuals can complete an application at the Park District Administrative office, 157 W. Washington St. Required documents include state issued identification, either a driver’s license or personal ID card, plus a passport-size photo about 1 1/2 inch square. The park district mails the application and once processed with the proper authority, the official rate card is mailed to the applicant’s home address within three to four weeks.
