West Chicago to Establish a Senior Citizen Advisory Council

West Chicago, Illinois: February 21, 2008 – A new community outreach program in West Chicago, intended to address the needs of senior citizens, will debut in the near future, according to Mayor Michael B. Kwasman. He, along with other City leaders and members of the community, is the driving force behind the initiative to further connect with the senior population in West Chicago.

“The formation of this Council will serve to create another form of communication that specifically addresses the interests, concerns, and service needs of our senior citizens,” said Mayor Kwasman.

Topics to be explored in its first year include amenities that attract and retain senior citizens and service enhancements that contribute to increased overall quality of life. Successful programs in other communities will also be explored.
