Organizers Seek Vendors for West Chicago's Annual Garden Festival



		Vendors lined the streets of the historic downtown district during West Chicago's Blooming Fest in 2012.

West Chicago, Illinois: February 20, 2013 – Downtown West Chicago will be hosting the City's 13th Annual Blooming Fest on Saturday, May 18, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Organized by City staff and community volunteers, the event combines the West Chicago Garden Club's annual plant sale with a craft and fine art show, auto exhibit, children's activities, music, food and more. A new attraction will include a schedule of guest speakers on horticultural activities and information on West Chicago's participation in the America in Bloom program.

Currently the focus is on attracting artists with a garden-related emphasis and food vendors. Booth space is available at a minimal cost, with no charge for not-for-profit organizations. Applications for vendor space are available on the City's website at www.westchicago.org under Forms or by contacting Krista Coltrin at (630) 293-2200 ext. 135 or via email at kcoltrin@westchicago.org. The deadline for vendor applications is April 12, 2013, however space is limited.
