January Craft Saturday Offers Fun and Civil War History

West Chicago City Museum

West Chicago, Illinois: January 4, 2008 - Join the fun of January Craft Saturday at the West Chicago City Museum on January 19, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.  As part of the Museum's continuing association with The History Channel’s Save Our History program, the coordinated theme for the January activity will be the Civil War.

Children of all ages are invited to learn about the importance of Civil War regiment flags and how they gave each set of troops an identity, and a source of pride that was protected at all costs. Participants will design and make their own flag to take home.
