West Chicago, Illinois:
January 4, 2008 - Join the fun of January Craft Saturday at the West Chicago
City Museum on January 19, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00
p.m. As part of the Museum's continuing association with The
History Channel’s Save Our History program, the coordinated theme
for the January activity will be the Civil War.
Children of all ages are invited to learn about the
importance of Civil War regiment flags and how they gave each set of
troops an identity, and a source of pride that was protected at all
costs. Participants will design and make their own flag to take
home.
All are welcome to this
free event at the West Chicago City Museum, located downtown at 132
Main Street. If you have questions, please contact Sara Phalen
at 630-231-3376 or at wchistory@yahoo.com.
